Reviews from previous Winclove Top Talents
"What attracted me about the Winclove Top Talent project is that Winclove is an international company focused purely on probiotic formulations. I could find my self between professionals where all the topics of conversations involve the probiotic microorganisms, and, in my opinion, that is the best way to learn something in depth. Plus; what a better way to start a career in a company that gives you the opportunity to design your own science project in the field of microbiota management.
As a Winclove Top Talent, I am part of Winclove’s innovation team and my role is to discover new probiotic candidates for health conditions. One of the most exciting things I am currently working on is exploiting a new high through put protocol for the isolation and qualification of probiotic strains.
My job exposes me to new technologies and skills. Building knowledge for Winclove while improving my own technical skills is a 'win-win' situation. I'm building up on my career in the probiotic field through new technologies and research work and besides, I can lead my own project while cultivating the skill of creative thinking from the scientific mentors in our team. Moreover, it gave me exposure to different functions, international trends, legislative, marketing approaches and innovative thinking.
At Winclove, each employee is entrusted with much responsibility from the very start and in reverse. My team brings different perspectives and backgrounds, transforming meetings into brainstorming gatherings for what could be done to better to support the business fast, and I am honored to be part of it. They are great coaches and I benefit from their experience. Although the position is challenging by it self, the feeling of anxiety is minimum. I have mentors I can trust and I know that if, for example anything “cutting- edge”, is needed, Winclove closely collaborates with many institutes and professionals, and as so, everything can be achievable. Also, the fact that Winclove is based in the Netherlands, were the feeling of freedom and creativity is embraced, what makes it the most amazing city of the world in my opinion, makes the Top Talent year, a very valuable experience."

“I come from Italy and I got my Master degree in Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Naples Federico II, where I also received my PhD in Food and Agricultural Sciences last May. I have been working in the field of probiotic microorganisms for the last five years investigating many different aspects of such bacteria with special attention to the application of microencapsulation as strategy to improve bacterial resistance and metabolism.
During my latest working experience in a Dutch University I developed an interest for a new topic in the wide and intriguing world of probiotics. The Winclove Top Talent program gave me the chance and resources to explore this topic, as well as to start a new and challenging working experience and to spend one more year in the beautiful landscapes of The Netherlands.
Every day I am surrounded from an encouraging and forward-looking team of colleagues in a Company whose main interest is to use the latest research developments to come up with high quality and innovative probiotic and prebiotic formulas.
WTTP is an opportunity for researchers to contribute in getting research findings into practice!”
