March is B Corp Month, a global celebration in which B Corps around the world highlight how business can be a force for good. This year, we had the honour of kicking off the celebrations. Under a lovely spring sun, we brought our network of fellow B Corps and stakeholders together at Amsterdam’s ARTIS Royal Zoo. It became a morning in which nature, social responsibility and human connection took centre stage.
This month as an invitation to conscious entrepreneurship
B Corp Month shows the world that businesses can be a positive force. The theme ‘A Simple Symbol, A Powerful Signal’ highlights that the B‑logo represents organisations that take responsibility by reducing negative impact wherever possible and being transparent where challenges remain. For us, this aligns with the belief that health goes beyond the individual. Every day we work with microbes that exist all around us and play an essential role in our probiotics, contributing to improved quality of life. By sharing both progress and challenges, we create space for dialogue, shared responsibility and lasting impact on a healthy, resilient planet.
A guided tour connecting nature and concerns
We opened the morning with a joint guided tour through ARTIS. Along the way, we paused at various ecosystems and explored how species, large and small, keep each other in balance. The insights from nature formed a fitting starting point for conversations about collaboration, responsibility and the impact that businesses can have on biodiversity and health.
The lecture by B Lab Benelux
Afterwards, Danja Overgaag from B Lab Benelux delivered an inspiring lecture on the growth of the global B Corp movement. She showed how the network continues to expand and how the B‑logo is increasingly recognised as a symbol for companies that prioritise value for people and planet. Her story provided direction and energy for everyone who wants to continue building on responsible business practices.
Building impact together
Working with microbes shows us every day how interdependence and cooperation form the foundation of healthy systems. We recognise that same principle within the B Corp movement, where organisations strengthen one another. During the gathering at ARTIS, we shared experiences, explored new collaborations and looked ahead at how we can realise lasting impact together with our partners. By jointly taking responsibility for people and planet, we can continue to improve quality of life.
